Yep, I picked up a new embroidery-only sewing machine – the Brother PE800. This one cost a bit more than the PE770, but had upgraded features like a color touch screen.
With an Amazon e-coupon, I paid $650 for it, and purchased an embroidery starter kit. Here’s a look at the unboxing and figuring out how to use it for the first time.
So far, the performance and ease of use has been good – I’ll keep you posted. The tension did have to be adjusted, and I loosened the bobbin tension by a 90 degree counter-clockwise turn and switched the upper thread tension to 2.0. This was on quilting cotton, so test out scrap fabric and play with the settings before embroidering your final design.
