The #1 thing that swayed me into purchasing two kits from the UK based Evie la Luve shop?

LOVE the way they turned out, looked exactly like the product photos.
Only problem? I did not correctly guesstimate my size so they’re pretty snug. In hindsight, I should have cut a large instead of small. The measurements are based on hip size, and my waist size is disproportionate.
If you do not have a slender waist in comparison to your hip – you might want to size up.
Never before in my life have I worn lace undergarments, so this whole project was a bit outside my comfort zone. Most of my underwear is very utilitarian – 100 percent cotton – kind of boring.
Not sure if the style is quite “me,” I may try the new Frankie Panties pattern that sits higher up on the waist and has more rear coverage.

Overall, I was surprised at how easy this sewing project was despite how intimidating the Bella Lace Panties looked. Now that I know I can sew my own underwear, I’m definitely going to experiment with this more – in other styles and fabrics.
So what am I going to do with the second kit I purchased in dark gray? Well, stay tuned folks! My husband, James, will be attempting to sew lingerie in the next Sewing Report LIVE edition on Sunday, April 2nd around 3PM ET.
Can he accomplish this? We’ll all find out together!
